Privacy Policy for Healthysm

Healthysm (“the App”) is developed and operated by Advereo Media LLC (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App. By using Healthysm, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

To provide and improve our services, we collect the following types of information:

  • Authentication & Account Information: If you create an account via Google, Apple, or email, we collect your name, email address, and a unique user ID to secure and maintain your profile.

  • User-Generated Content (Images & Scans): When you use the scanning feature, you may upload or take images of products and barcodes.

    • Temporary Data: Images of products are only stored if you explicitly choose to save the product analysis.

    • Scan History: The App automatically retains only your last 10 recent scans. Older unsaved scans are automatically deleted.

  • Analytics & Performance Data: We collect device information, IP addresses, app usage events, and crash reports to improve performance and fix bugs.

  • Advertising & Tracking Data: We use third-party tracking technologies to monitor ad conversions and deliver targeted advertising. This includes device identifiers (such as Apple IDFA or Google AAID) and app interaction data.

  • Purchase & Subscription Data: We track subscription statuses and in-app purchases. All payment processing is handled securely by Apple or Google; we do not collect or store your credit card information.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your data is used strictly for the following purposes:

  • To authenticate your account and manage your saved product analyses.

  • To process product images and ingredients through AI for classification.

  • To monitor app performance, debug crashes, and analyze user behavior.

  • To manage subscriptions and track revenue.

  • To deliver, track, and measure the performance of advertising campaigns.

3. Third-Party Services & Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. However, we integrate with essential third-party services to operate the App, which may collect, process, or store data according to their own privacy policies:

  • Core Infrastructure: Supabase (for secure authentication and database/image storage).

  • AI & Databases: Google Gemini API (receives ingredient text and/or images to generate AI analysis; Google does not use this data to train its foundational models via the API). OpenFoodFacts & OpenBeautyFacts (public databases used to match barcodes).

  • Analytics & Stability: Sentry (crash reporting and error tracking) and PostHog (product analytics and user behavior tracking).

  • Advertising & Marketing: Meta SDK & Conversions API and TikTok SDK (used for ad tracking, conversion attribution, and delivering targeted advertisements).

  • Subscriptions: RevenueCat (used to manage and track in-app purchases and subscriptions).

4. What We Do Not Collect

  • We do not collect or store sensitive personal health, biometric, or medical records.

  • We do not track precise, continuous GPS location data.

5. Data Storage and Retention

  • Images: Stored securely in Supabase with encryption and strict access controls only if the user saves the scan.

  • History: Recent unsaved scans are capped at 10 entries; older entries are purged. Saved scans remain in your profile until you manually delete them.

6. Children’s Privacy

Our App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 18, you may only use the App with the consent of a parent or guardian. If we learn we have collected data from a minor without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it promptly.

7. User Rights and Opt-Outs

  • Data Deletion: You may request the deletion of your account and all associated data directly within the App or by contacting us.

  • Ad Tracking Opt-Out: You can opt out of targeted advertising by modifying the privacy settings on your iOS device (Turn off “Allow Apps to Request to Track”) or Android device (Opt out of “Ads Personalization”).
